Realizing the Dream

While you were an NCIN Scholar, we encouraged you to share with us what you believed about nursing through a monthly essay contest. We’ve received hundreds of essays and videos since we launched the contest and now we’d like to expand that contest to our alumni. Now that you’ve realized the dream of becoming a nurse, we’d like to hear about what you now know about nursing.

So tell us... What has surprised you about working as a nurse? What has been your best experience? Were there preconceptions you had that turned out to be wrong? Tell us what it feels like to achieve your goal of becoming a nurse and your insights about this career path, and we’ll share some of the best essays or videos on the NCIN website.

Each month we will select up to three contest winners, you are free to enter as often as you like.

Format: We will accept either essays of approximately 500 words or 2-3 minute videos in an MP4 format.
