 The University of Virginia school of nursing leveraged its NCIN grants to form new partnerships with the Veteran’s Administration Medical Center in Salem, Virginia, as well as with agencies in Charlottesville, Richmond, Culpeper, and Fairfax, Virginia. The goal was to provide both clinical experiences and MSN-prepared faculty to expand program capacity by 20 Leader (CNL) program provides global learning opportunities to NCIN scholars and other students, and up to 50 percent of the MSN-CNL students complete their community clinical learning requirements in an international setting. These include rural impoverished locales in countries such as South Africa, Lesotho, Guatemala, Nicaragua, El Salvador, the Bahamas, India, and the Marshall Islands, as well New Zealand, Denmark, and Colombia.
