The goals of the program are to prepare graduates to meet the complex health care needs of New Mexicans in an evolving health care environment and to prepare graduates for advanced nursing education. The second degree undergraduate option is available only for applicants who have a previous bachelor’s degree and at least 9 hours of human sciences credits. Core UNM curriculum requirements and CON prerequisite courses are waived.
-bachelor’ degree with a cumulative and science GPA of at least a 3.0,
- at least nine credit hours of human science classes completed within the last ten years with a grade of “C” or better. These nine hours (three classes) need to be from the following list:
•Anatomy and Physiology I and/or II
•Pathophysiology I and/or II
•Pharmacology
-complete (if you have not done so) Pathophysiology I, Pathophysiology II and Pharmacology .
In State Students: $220.40 per credit hour
$156.00 per credit hour additional for all nursing courses
Out of State Students: $220.40 per credit hour up to 6 credits
$450.00 per credit hour 7 credits and above
$156.00 per credit hour additional for all nursing courses
