Generalist Entry Master’s (GEM) in Nursing Program:
A program designed for students with a non-nursing baccalaureate degree or higher. This program differs from others in that it does not prepare its students for specialist practice, but rather as clinical leader generalists. This format of preparation enables the program’s graduates to provide direct patient care based on sound clinical judgment and to provide leadership at the point-of-care in all types of health care settings. Students receive a generalist education in nursing at the graduate level and are conferred a master’s degree upon graduation. This program provides eligibility to sit for registered nurse licensure and clinical nurse leader certification.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; Cumulative and prerequisite science GPAs of 3.0 or higher; Successful completion of prerequisite coursework; Submission of official transcripts; Completed application with three letters of recommendation; Personal interview; Acceptable GRE scores (waved with overall GPA of 3.25 or higher); Acceptable TOEFL scores for international students.
