The School of Nursing has the broad goal of improving health care and the overall quality of life in the state, the region, and the nation. It strives to reach this goal through the education of health care professionals, through provision of expertise and health care services to the health care systems and through research in promotion of wellness in nursing and in health care. The School of Nursing is approved by the Virginia Board of Nursing, fully accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission, and has received preliminary approval from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
Admission Procedures
1. To receive an application, call the Office of Admissions at 1-800-624-3328 or (757) 727-5328, and it will be mailed to your address.
2. There is no separate application for the School of Nursing.
3. Have all your official transcripts sent to the Office of Admissions at Hampton University, Hampton, VA 23668.
4. If you are military, also send your military discharge and/or educational form (DD 214 or DD 295) to the Office of Admissions.
