The Adult Accelerated Nursing Program at Edgewood College allows individuals with Bachelor’s degrees in other disciplines to complete a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree program in 12 months (after completing pre-requisite coursework) in an accelerated format. Building on previous learning and experience gained from the student’s first bachelor’s degree, the program guides students toward gaining the knowledge, skills, competencies, and values required to practice as a registered nurse in the 21st century.
Eligibility for admission to the Accelerated BSN program requires an earned Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution, a cumulative undergraduate GPA of at least 2.75, and a minimum 2.75 GPA in all required science and math courses. All required math/science courses must have been completed within five years of admission unless math/science courses were part of a degree earned within the last five years. A grade of C or better is necessary in each required science and math course. Also, see the web site for more information. http://nursing.edgewood.edu/AcceleratedProgram/accel_admissions_eligibility.html [3]
