Key Messages on IOM Report on the Future of Nursing
This morning, the Committee on the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Committee on the Future of Nursing, at the Institute of Medicine publicly released its report on the future of nursing. The report, entitled “The Future of Nursing; Leading Change, Advancing Health” provides recommendations on how nurses’ roles, responsibilities, and education should change to significantly meet the increased demand for care that will be created by health care reform and to advance improvements in America’s increasingly complex health system.
