The undergraduate program is designed to prepare students upon graduation to begin the practice of nursing. The program leads to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and provides a basis for graduate study in nursing. This is an accelerated full-time program for applicants with an earned baccalaureate degree in a discipline other than nursing who are entering the nursing field for the first time. The accelerated program begins in the fall term for four (4) consecutive semesters.
Applicants are eligible to apply for the Second Career/Second Degree Program (CD2) if they are entering nursing for the first time, have a posted baccalaureate degree from an accredited university and have completed the pre-nursing requirements with a grade of “C” of better in each course. Applicants must have a 2.5 minimum GPA in prerequisite courses and a minimum of 2.5 in prerequisite science courses to be eligible for admission consideration. If any professional nursing courses have been taken, grades earned in those courses will become part of the admission GPA. Admission to the program is competitive and is based in large part on the GPA earned I the perquisite courses.
