Accelerated B.S.N. Second-Degree Program:
The accelerated nursing program at Penn is designed for students with a non-nursing bachelor’s degree. Penn offers a BSN Second Degree and BSN/MSN option. The accelerated program is designed to recognize a student’s previous academic accomplishments and prepare the students for clinical, research and leadership roles in the field of health care and nursing. Simulation is an integral component of the Penn nursing education and our state of the art simulation labs are equipped with the latest technology. Upon completion of the BSN program, students are eligible to sit for the NCLEX and to received licensure as a registered nurse; Penn Nursing’s accelerated program has a 99% NCLEX pass rate.
Bachelor’s degree in a non-nursing field with a preferred 3.0 or higher GPA; Successful completion of prerequisite coursework; completed application which includes a personal statement, two letters of recommendations (a minimum of one academic recommendation preferred) and all college transcripts; for BSN/MSN applicants the GRE examination is also required.
