The Accelerated Second Degree BSN program consists of two areas: Prerequisite Courses and the Nursing Core Curriculum. The Nursing Core Curriculum is an intense, concentrated, year round program of study. It consists of five full-time semesters of nursing courses completed over 16 months. Eight of the core courses include a clinical component, which requires a significant time commitment within regional hospitals and other health care facilities.
For entry into the Accelerate BSN program, the University of Michigan-Flint has several requirements including but not limited to: Letter (s) of reference, writing sample. Course requirements: Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Developmental Psychology/Growth and Development, Nutrition, Disease Processes & the Human System, Principles of Pharmacology, Basic Nursing Skills. GPA requirement of 3.0.
For academic year 2012-2013; $426/credit hour (actual number of credits is dependent on credits transferred in)
