M.S.N. Master’s Entry Clinical Nurse (MECN) Prelicensure Program:
An accelerated option within the master of nursing program designed to prepare individuals with a baccalaureate degree in another discipline for a career in nursing. This program option is designed to produce nurse generalists with special leadership skills and cultural competency who are prepared to provide excellent health care service to a variety of community settings. Upon completion of the program, students earn an M.S.N. degree and are eligible to take the NCLEX-RN to receive licensure as a registered nurse.
Graduation from a recognized college or university with an accredited baccalaureate program; Successful completion of prerequisite coursework; Completed applications to UCLA and the School of Nursing; Three letters of recommendation; TOEFL score of 560 for international students.
