Long text (Legacy Book):
NCIN scholars in the school of nursing at Oakland University served as role models and a source of support for other Accelerated Second-Degree Nursing (ASDN) students. These scholars initiated projects such as developing a calendar of courses and clinical rotations, tutoring other students, and offering review sessions on course content. The NCIN grant also enabled the school of nursing to hire a faculty member dedicated to teaching obstetrics and serving as a clinical faculty member. This filled a much needed teaching gap, allowing the program to now offer faculty in all its specialty areas.
