Long text (Legacy Book):
The College of St. Scholastica has been awarded funds for all seven Rounds of the NCIN program and serves as an exemplar. The NCIN program allowed the college to expand enrollment, increase diversity, and leverage other funds to expand the campus to the St. Cloud area. NCIN’s Leadership Toolkit was reviewed by all faculties in the accelerated nursing program and its leadership competencies were integrated into the core curriculum (the four required professional nursing courses). The college also used NCIN’s Mentoring Toolkit to develop a program that allowed Scholars to select their faculty mentors. The mentoring program is required for NCIN scholars, but all students are encouraged to participate. Workshops on personal and professional development are also offered throughout the year.
