Description & Objectives
BSN Fast Track: The Accelerated Fast Track BSN Program is a 12 month program designed for second-degree students interested in making a career change. Students may be accepted into the program with a degree from an accredited college or university that meets the Texas Core requirements. The program is an intensive, full time program, the curriculum of which follows the traditional nursing program. After completing the program, students will earn a bachelor’s degree in nursing and be eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX). Accelerated Fast Track BSN graduates have consistently exceeded the national pass rate on the NCLEX.
Students must meet the admissions requirements for the School of Nursing, including completion of required science pre-requisites courses with a minimum GPA of 2.5. Additionally, candidates for admission must take the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) and score at or above the minimum standard.
