Description & Objectives
Accelerated Bachelor’s Program for Non-Nurses (ABPNN):
An accelerated program designed for candidates with bachelor’s or higher degrees in other fields who are interested in going into the nursing profession. This unique program incorporates and builds upon one’s pre-existing degree by providing generalist nursing studies. Upon completion of the program, students are awarded a B.S.N. and qualify to take the NCLEX-RN and registered nursing licensure.
Accelerated Master’s Program for Non-Nurses (AMPNN):
An accelerated program designed to admit non-nurse baccalaureate graduates to B.S. and M.S. programs in nursing. Through the combination of a one-year generalist component and a two-year advanced practice component, graduates earn a B.S.N. and an M.S.N. Once they have successfully completed the program, graduates are eligible for the NCLEX-RN, nurse practitioner licensure and national credentialing.
ABPNN: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school in a non-nursing major with a preferred cumulative 3.0 GPA; Successful completion of prerequisite coursework; Completed application with two letters of recommendation, a typewritten professional goal statement and a personal interview; TOEFL score of 560 for international students;
AMPNN: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school in a non-nursing major with a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA; Successful completion of prerequisite coursework; Completed application with two letters of recommendation, a typewritten professional goal statement and a personal interview; Declaration of a specialty area upon application for admission; TOEFL score of 560 for international students.
