Description & Objectives

The Accelerated Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Program (BSN) is a 15-month option for students who hold bachelor’s or master’s degrees in fields other than nursing.  Through integration of professional, theoretical and liberal-arts knowledge, the program prepares graduate nurses to provide direct and indirect care to individuals, families, groups, communities and populations. Graduates receive a B.S.N. degree and are eligible to sit for the NCLEX-RN examination for licensure as a registered nurse.

Admission Requirements: 

Admission to the University
A baccalaureate or higher degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum 2.8 cumulative GPA.
Two letters of reference from individuals that can attest to the student’s motivation and ability to complete a course of intensive study. Reference Form is provided on our website.
Personal Statement that includes a brief narrative describing yourself, your career goals, and your future plans related to nursing.
A personal interview.
Completion of prerequisite courses with a minimum of a C or better.
Evidence of potential and motivation for nursing.
Evidence of prior work success and/or ability to handle a fast-paced academic program.
