Description & Objectives

A full-time, 12-month, accelerated nursing program for individuals who have already earned a bachelor’s degree in another field and wish to pursue a career in nursing.  Upon successful completion of the program, graduates earn a baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) and are qualified to take the NCLEX-RN to obtain licensure as a registered nurse. Quinnipiac University’s Department of Nursing embraces the concepts of holism in the delivery of nursing care while maintaining one of the largest nursing SIM suites in the Northeast.

Admission Requirements: 

1.Previous bachelors degree in another field
2.Minimum GPA 3.0
3.Completion of prerequisite courses with a C or better within last five years
•A&P I (4 credits with lab)
•A&P II (4 credits with lab)
•Mircrobiology (4 credits with lab)
•Pathophysiology (3 credits)
•Statistics (3 credits)
4.Completed application with a personal written essay and submission of official transcripts.
