Description & Objectives
Accelerated Basic Program:
An accelerated program that involves taking lower-division coursework, as well as some upper-level courses early on, and then completing the remainder of the upper-level coursework during a heavily concentrated time period. This format allows students to complete the entire curriculum of the traditional nursing program in a condensed time frame. Graduates of this program are eligible to take the NCLEX-RN to become registered nurses.
Duration:
12 months
Admission Requirements:
Minimum cumulative 2.6 GPA for prerequisite coursework; Completion of prerequisite courses; Submission of official transcripts; Completed application with two personal references; Exhibit appropriate interpersonal skills and behaviors; Satisfactory TEAS scores; Satisfactory TOEFL score (80 or higher internet-based) for international students.
