1.How do I apply for funding?
All applications must be submitted using RWJF's Grantmaking Online system which can be accessed here.

2. Can I complete a hard copy of the application?
No, all applications and supporting materials must be submitted online.

3. Is a formal budget required as part of the grant application?
No, but questions related to the total funding request are included in Project Information section of the online application.

4. Who do I contact if I have questions about the Grantmaking Online system?
Applicants may contact Alexa Tehansky in the grant's National Program Office at atehansky@aacn.nche.edu or 202-463-6930, extension 265. Phone calls and emails will be returned between 9am and 5pm, eastern time, Monday through Friday.

5. What if I miss the application deadline? Are extensions possible?
To be fair to all applicants, there are no exceptions to the deadline.
 
6. How will I know that my proposal has been successfully submitted?
There are three ways to confirm that your proposal has been successfully submitted:

a. You will see a screen confirming your submission in the Grantmaking Online system.

b. If you registered with a valid e-mail address, you will receive an e-mail message confirming your submission.

c. Log in to the Grantmaking Online system with your applicant ID and password. Go to the New Careers in Nursing home page. If you have successfully submitted your proposal, a message will appear in red at the top of the home page stating that your proposal has been submitted.

NOTE: Once you have completed all requirements, you must return to the home page of the Grantmaking Online system to click on the blue CONTINUE button to gain access to the SUBMIT button.

7. Can I make a change to my application after it has been submitted?
Yes, but you must contact the National Program Office before the deadline date in order to regain access to your online application.

8. When will I be notified if I am going to be awarded funding?
Schools receiving grant funding will be notified in May/June 2010.

9. Will I receive specific comments on my proposal after a decision is made?
Due to the large volume of proposals, we are unable to provide individual critiques or comments on proposals that were not selected for funding.

10. If my school receives funding, when will scholarship monies need to be disbursed?
All scholarship monies must be disbursed in the 2010-2011 academic year. Scholarships may be given to students starting their accelerated program in Fall 2010, Spring 2011 and Summer 2011.
