General Call for Proposal Questions

1. How do I apply for funding?
Applications for this solicitation must be submitted electronically. Visit http://my.rwjf.org/login.do. You will be required to register at MyRWJF before you begin the application process.

2. Can I complete a hard copy of the application?
No, all applications and supporting materials must be submitted online.

3. Is a formal budget required as part of the grant application?
No, but questions related to the total funding request are included in Project Information section of the online application.

4. What if I miss the application deadline? Are extensions possible?
To be fair to all applicants, there are no exceptions to the deadline.
 
5. Can I make a change to my application after it has been submitted?
Yes, but you must contact the National Program Office before the deadline date in order to regain access to your online application.

6. When will I be notified if I am going to be awarded funding?
Schools receiving grant funding will be notified in late spring/early summer 2013, for those institutions recommended for funding the foundation will notify the individual listed as the Authorized official  and the Principal Investigator (program director) on the application. The national program office will also reach out to the Principal Investigator and Registrant to notify the SON of the decision on their application.

7. Will I receive specific comments on my proposal after a decision is made?
Due to the large volume of proposals, we are unable to provide individual critiques or comments on proposals that were not selected for funding.

8. If my school receives funding, when will scholarship monies need to be disbursed?
All scholarship monies must be disbursed in the 2013-2014 academic year. Scholarships may be given to students starting their accelerated program in Fall 2013, Spring 2014 and Summer 2014.

9. How will I know my application was successfully submitted?
There are three ways to confirm your application was successfully submitted:
*You will see a screen confirming your submission.
* If you registered with a valid e-mail address, you will receive an e-mail message confirming your submission.
* Sign in at myRWJF and select the Solicitation name from the list of your applications. Once at the solicitation Home Screen, a message will appear at the top of the Home screen stating that your application has been submitted and is no longer available for editing.

10. We were not selected the last round, are we still eligible to request funds in the another round?
Yes, you are eligible to apply for funding for this call for proposals.

Grant Specific Questions

12. We are a state college offering an entry level BSN as well as RN to BSN degrees.  Entry level BSN's can complete their BSN in 2 years, if they have completed their core and support courses.  Would this qualify us to write for this grant?
In order for a student to be eligible to receive a scholarship the student must have, a degree is a discipline other than nursing, which means this is a individual who has already completed college and is coming back into the program to earn a BSN Degree. If the Individual is already a registered nurse, that individual does not qualify for a scholarship.
